I totally resolve to finally do something with this gallery.
And~ formally introduce myself!
I'm Night. *curtsey*
I'm 18 years old, live in Alberta, am mostly Irish and Ukrainian, and I have been drawing for seven years now.
Way back in the day, when us elementary kids were all getting into anime and such, I was one of the loner kids, so I decided to start drawing in order to gain respect from my peers. That was the year we got a computer, and I killed that printer within that year, printing every Sailor Moon and CLAMP picture I could lay my hands on. And I set to work copying every one of them with care, until I could draw well enough on my own. I never gained any respect (so I feel) until later in life, but I'm always very glad that I started drawing.
As for my subject matter, I draw mostly male characters, and shounen-ai. I'm also a fan of the EGL fashions, so that inspires my female characters. I like to draw merboys, put kitty ears and a tail on almost anything, wings, angels and demons, etc. Things you might notice throughout, are my squishies (odd little creatures of mine), bottles of poison and anti-poison, contrasts between good and evil, heart shapes, and who knows what else.
Actually, very recently (erm, the past few days), I've been changing how I draw. I've come up with a better way of drawing, as a result of me forcing myself to take more time on my stuff. Today, I've been working on the first drawing in my sort-of new style, and so far I've spent nine hours on it. And it's not even done yet. For me, that's a huge milestone, as I've never spent more than three on anything.
Look out for some super spiffiness in the near future.
Anywho, be that all as it may, my goal in life is to be a writer. . So I'm currently hard at work trying to put together a smashing portfolio.
